Evil Eye Curse of Jealousy and Covetness
Lets continue, with the evil eye curse.... so we can avoid it.... and not let it control us. What is it ? Its the devil's
projection from his devilish selfish eye, to send his motivation into us to destroy us.
But lets bring it more down to EARTH, and more understandable....

Judaism believes that a "good eye" designates an attitude of good will and kindness towards others. Someone who
has this attitude in life will rejoice when his fellow man prospers; he will wish everyone well. An "evil eye" denotes
the opposite attitude. A man with "an evil eye" will not only feel no joy but experience actual distress when others
prosper, and will rejoice when others suffer. A person of this character represents a great danger to our moral
purity. ((In other words, it makes us start wishing the worst for someone rather than the best for someone else.))
Rabbi Abraham Isaac Kook explained that the evil eye is "an example of how one soul may affect another through
unseen connections between them. We are all influenced by our environment.... The evil eye is the venomous impact
from malignant feelings of jealousy and envy of those around us."
Many Observant Jews avoid talking about valuable items they own, good luck that has come to them and, in particular,
their children. If any of these are mentioned, the speaker and/or listener will say b'li ayin hara (Hebrew), meaning
"without an evil eye", or kein eina hara (Yiddish; often shortened to kennahara), "no evil eye". Another way to ward off
the evil eye is to spit three times (or pretend to). Romans call this custom "despuere malum," to spit at evil. It has
also been suggested[by whom?] the 10th Commandment: "Do not covet anything that belongs to your neighbor" is a
law against bestowing the evil eye on another person. (end of Excerpt)
In other words, if you have love in your hearts, you will want all people to be happy, and successful in their work and
happy with their family and neighbors. You wish them well. You want to bless not curse...and were not talking about
mere profanity here.
You don't want to be NUMBER 1, you are not into competing for power and glory, YOU DO NOT COVET what
others have, but are CONTENT with what you have. For with food and clothing be ye content, as the Lord says.
Wait a minute you must be saying, are we suppose to be disciples of Jesus and just drop all our materialistic ways, that
we base our success on, ..... in this materialistic competitive world. YES, thats a fair summary. Stop being materialistic
and valuing things and possessions so much
We dont have to strive for materialistic wealth or fame, we can dedicate our lives to and for others, for the cause of
Christ and because of HIS LOVE. Thats a life well spent.
Dont covet or have jealousy ..... Its the TENTH COMMANDMENT and can only be done if we love the Lord and give
our lives to HIM...not in mere word but in deed and in truth.
If we yield to the evil eye, casting his net of jealousy and covetness, we are being captured by him and being cursed by
him.... For then we even cast this same evil eye to others who we want to compete with, in materialistic shallowness
and eventual sadness.
The evil eye can curse you and me and all unless we ward off its glaze and demonic possessive possession of our souls.
